Venice of the Alps

 Venice of the Alps Alpine Gin Sour - Recipe by ANNA WALLACE

Bright, herbal, and a little bitter - this should drink like the foothills above Lake Annecy.

Ingredients

  • 1½ oz gin (especially good with St. George Spirits Terroir Gin)

  • ½ oz Dolin Génépi

  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice

  • ½ oz simple syrup

  • ¼ oz Salers Gentian Liqueur 

  • Pinch of salt

Method
Dry shake all ingredients until fully emulsified.
Add ice and shake hard to chill.
Double strain into a double old-fashioned glass over ice.

Zest a lemon using a Y vegetable peeler, trim and twist. Add a sprig of lemon thyme to finish.
