Bienvenue à Loches!The Loire Valley has always been a crossroads. Whether navigating the waters of the Loire with goods destined for inland France, or heading south to escape the urban life of Paris, travelers have crisscrossed this region for thousands of years.Once considered the a rural playground for 17th century aristocrats, the broad shores of the Loire became the building site of many exquisite chateaux serving merely as seasonal hunting lodges for their owners.At times the Loire Valley was considered a major source of food production for the rest of France. Today cereals, vegetables and cheeses excel.
