Venice of the Alps

Alpine Gin Sour - Recipe by ANNA WALLACE

Bright, herbal, and a little bitter - this should drink like the foothills above Lake Annecy.

Ingredients

1½ oz gin (especially good with St. George Spirits Terroir Gin)

½ oz Dolin Génépi

1 oz fresh lemon juice

½ oz simple syrup

¼ oz Salers Gentian Liqueur 

Pinch of salt

Method


Dry shake all ingredients until fully emulsified.
Add ice and shake hard to chill.
Double strain into a double old-fashioned glass over ice.

Zest a lemon using a Y vegetable peeler, trim and twist. Add a sprig of lemon thyme to finish.
